What you wear matters.
Not in a shallow way, you don’t always need to be the best dressed; but you should always dress your best. Because feeling good, means looking good.
But what does that even mean? Personal style is exactly that- personal. What may be a 10/10 outfit to you could be unbearably uncomfortable to someone else. And we all know that if you’re not comfortable in what you’re wearing, you’re not going to be (as) present because you’re constantly getting distracted.
We’ve all been there, whether you’re uncomfortable because the outfit doesn’t fit or it doesn’t suit your style, you’re going to fidget & either check yourself in the mirror a million times or not act your best- because you’re not feeling your best.
Sometimes we get confused that dressing our best is being the best dressed in the room, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Dressing your best is being in full alignment with your personal style so much so, that it’s reflected in the way you live your life.
It’s been proven that a strong sense in personal style leads to a happier & more confident lifestyle; so, what’s to lose?
3 Ways to Dress Your Best:
Unfollow all the influencers. Find 2-3 that really align with the style you feel reflects you and your personality best. It doesn’t need to be just one style but filter out all the noise of multiple influencers & their purchases because overconsumption will kill a wardrobe faster than an ugly dress.
Get serious about your wardrobe. Start appreciating the things you already own & work with what you got. It’s unrealistic to expect to change your wardrobe overnight, and also would be a financial buzz kill. Slow & steady wins the race so start auditing your wardrobe to find the things that could be considered wardrobe clutter.
Organization is key. You won’t wear it if you can’t find it. Accessibility can help make organization easier to keep up with. You don’t need to have it organized the way everyone else does, but you do have to find a system that suits your lifestyle. Find everything a home and be sure that you can hold yourself accountable to it.
